Wedding Colour Schemes - Autumnal Burgundy Wedding Invitations

Summer seems to be over for me in my little corner of south west Scotland, but it’s not all doom and gloom... we have the beautiful Autumn to look forward to. This instantly makes me think of burgundy wedding invitations! So if you’re planning your wedding then don’t be scared to consider burgundy for your wedding colour scheme. Or wine, ruby, maroon, or crimson; whatever you want to call it!

Burgundy wedding invitations can evoke ideas of love, passion, and warmth and can be truly stunning. They really do sum up the essence of an Autumnal wedding. You needn’t shy away from having a bold colour scheme for your wedding stationery. You don’t need to worry that they are too bold or dark a colour, especially when you pair them up with luxurious gold’s and opulent creams.

For my burgundy wedding invitations I use the best quality 350gsm card, Beresford double-sided satin ribbon, and handmade wax seals. I can make any of my designs in a burgundy colour scheme so just let me know which one is your favourite!

This swing postcard is anything but dark, with its opulent layer of gold foil. Set the tone of your wedding from the outset, and show your guests your favourite autumnal colour. FYI this style of card can also be used as an invitation where we can add another vellum swing layer to the back with all your wedding details on (this is the Sarah invite from my Modern Collection).

Ailsa pocketfold Wedding Invite

This pocketfold invite with magnetic closure is one of my most popular designs. It comes with 3 pull out inserts and you choose what they say, whether that be for menu choices, accommodation, bus times or gift wish poems or even an RSVP. As with the design in my Luxe Collections they all incorporate luxurious pebble paper and handmade wax seals.

This book style invite is a similar design to the Ailsa, but with 2 pull out inserts. As before you get to decide what you want them to say. The smallest insert can also be turned into an RSVP if you want, or you can add on a smaller RSVP card and envelope if you need all the space.
